How did you get into the insurance business?
In 1989, my circumstances changed drastically when my husband became disabled. I was a stay-at-home mom, and I had to suddenly find a job and a career! I started working as a receptionist in an insurance office and worked my way to a manager – working in an independent agency for over 20 years.
What is one piece of advice you give all of your clients?
Make sure you understand your coverage and always be prepared for a disaster, hoping one will never occur!
What’s one thing you do outside of work that may surprise your clients (or coworkers)?
I love to do many different things! I spend a lot of time with my little rescue dogs, and in the past have been active with different dog rescue organizations in the St.Louis area. I also love to bake and garden and exercise! My husband and I enjoy going to estate sales for unique antiques or special artwork. I once found an original print used by the marketing department at Anheuser Busch – signed and dated – a gift given to a Marketing Director, which now hangs proudly in my home.
